Parent Manual For Opti Regattas
General
Have Fun! Just get out there and do it!! (Junior Commodore Cup on Wednesday afternoons a great low pressure/hassle way to learn racing.)
Regattas are the parents’ responsibility: Transportation, care, food, equipment, etc.
An instructor/Coach may attend if enough HPYC kids sign up. Coach will help unload boats at Regatta site and load boats at HPYC (at specified time).
Coach (if attending) will be on water, but not coaching after first gun (Green Fleet may allow coaching from the back).
Not all clubs provide spectator boats so make your own preparations. Ask about getting on a boat as soon as you get there as they fill up.
